After a fantastic performance with the ball against India in the Asia Cup match in Kandy on Saturday, Pakistani bowling sensation Shaheen Shah Afridi revealed his favourite wicket between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

Shaheen was on fire against India as he dismissed the two biggest stars of the Indian batting lineup – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – in early overs of the game. He clean bowled Rohit Sharma after he scored just 11 runs off 22 balls. This dismissal was the result of a remarkable delivery from Shaheen that produced a magical movement upon touching the pitch, leaving Sharma’s stumps in disarray.

Shaheen’s brilliance didn’t stop there. He went on to produce another exceptional delivery that led to Virat Kohli’s dismissal. Virat Kohli, one of the world’s best batsmen, edged the ball onto his own stumps, leading to his departure from the crease.

In total, Shaheen took four wickets and conceded 35 runs in Saturday’s Asia Cup match against India at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Speaking after the innings, as quoted by Crex, Shaheen said he felt that Rohit Sharma’s wicket was the best among his first two scalps. He was quoted as saying, “Yeah, that was our plan. The new ball was important to get breakthroughs for us. Thanks to almighty as well. Both (Rohit and Kohli) wickets were same for me but I still feel that the Rohit’s one was a good one. I enjoyed that wicket.

“The plans worked well for us. Naseem Shah is bowling at a good speed, 150 kmph. I am really happy with that and he does bowl really fast. There is a bit of swing and seam on offer with the rain around and the weather. New ball does swing and seam but once it stops doing its bit, it becomes easier for batting,” he added.
