A helicopter carrying Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian suffered a “hard landing” in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, says Iranian state media.

Soon after the incident, Iran deployed its armed forces to find the missing plane, which crashed into the mountains. Adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, are hampering rescue efforts and the helicopter is still missing.
