Smog control room established in Lahore

Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam visits smog control room in Lahore.

Following the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan, a smog control room has been set up in Lahore.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam visited the smog control room where he was briefed on the function of the control room.

Malik Amin witnessed the affairs of the smog control room. He said that the federal government would extend every support to the Punjab government in control smog. Smog would be seen through satellite on the Pak-India border. Monitoring of crop burning/transport and industrial emissions /brick kilns / checking cross border emissions would be held through the control room.

Meanwhile, Faisalabad district administration on Tuesday sealed brick kilns and registered FIRs against the owners of the kilns for violating smog SOPs.

In a tweet, PDM said, “Prompt action has been taken against the violators and FIR have been lodged and brick kilns have been sealed by District administration Faisalabad.”
