Hajj 2024: Saudi Arabia issues flight schedule

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) on Thursday issued the schedule of flights for Hajj 2024.

According to the official notification issued by the GACA, pre-Hajj flights will begin on May 9 and post-Hajj flights will begin on June 20, 2024. Flights carrying pilgrims from various countries will continue to arrive in Saudi Arabia until June 10.

The GACA notification says that Hajj pilgrims will start returning to their home countries on June 20 and the last Hajj flight will leave the kingdom on July 21, 2024.

The GACA says that airlines from various countries, including the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), can submit applications for pre and post-Hajj flight operations until January 1, 2024.

As per the past practice, this flight scheduling is part of the preparations for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia has said that it is going to welcome a record number of pilgrims for Hajj 2024 and all arrangements in this regard have been finalized.
