Soon after Peshawar Zalmi batsman Saim Ayub played some impressive shots in the match against Multan Sultans in season 8 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL8), the name of former Pakistani batsman Saeed Anwar started trending on Twitter.
Saim Ayub caught commentators’ attention after facing just first 10 deliveries and they started saying there’s a hint of Brian Lara in him, he reminds a bit of Saeed Anwar (the way he uses his wrists) and he’s always technically strong.
With some sublime shots all over the ground, Saim Ayub’s first PSL fifty had class written all over it. He scored 50 off 33 balls.

After watching his batting skill, ESPNcricinfo wrote, “Wait for the no-look six. 20-year-old Saim Ayub is looking like the real deal.”

Saim Ayub’s cover drives and a no-look six also left the cricket fans in awe. Here are reactions from cricket lovers to Saim Ayub’s performance.
The third shot is the one. The way he looks away immediately after the ball makes contact with the bat. He didn't need to look. He knew where it was going. The nonchalance, the swagger. Saim Ayub…spectacular 👌 #HBLPSL8 pic.twitter.com/u497RPBKxG
