Senior journalist Zia Shahid passed away at a government hospital in Lahore on Monday evening.
He was suffering from kidney-related health problems and had been admitted to Shaikh Zayed Hospital for more than two weeks now.
Zia Shahid was the founder of the Khabrain Group of Newspapers, which owns Daily Khabrain, one of Pakistan’s widely circulated Urdu-language newspapers. Daily Khabrain is published simultaneously from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, Muzaffarabad and Sukkur. The Khabrain Group of Newspapers is a member of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society.
