LAHORE – Punjab Police are currently conducting physical tests of the candidates as part of the recruitment process to overcome the shortage of personnel in the force.

Physical tests are being conducted and measurements are being taken of the candidates seeking to fill the posts of constables, lady constables, driver constables and traffic assistants. These tests are being conducted at the police lines of various districts, including Lahore.

The spokesman for the Punjab Police said that physical tests of the candidates are being completed under the supervision of senior officers supervising the recruitment board, and eligible candidates will be made part of the police force on merit.

Punjab Police Inspector General Dr Usman Anwar said that male and female candidates who have the passion to serve the nation are being made part of the police force. He said that recruitment of more than 11,000 personnel will be completed in the police force in a phased manner. He said the recruitment process should be completed transparently in accordance with the rules and regulations.

Security for Punjab Assembly Session

The Punjab Police on Friday made foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of the first session of the Punjab Assembly and maintained the atmosphere of peace.

According to details, the Punjab Police chief issued instructions to the police officers to put security on high alert in the entire province, including Lahore, on the occasion of the first session of the Punjab Assembly. He said that full security should be provided to all members of the assembly, the House and the session.

The Punjab Police IG said that maintaining the law and order and protecting lives and properties of citizens was the first priority of the force. He said no one was allowed to take the law into his hands and disturb the peace of the city.

On the instructions of Dr Usman Anwar, security remained on high alert in and around the assembly building and DIG Operations Lahore supervised the security arrangements. The smooth flow of traffic was ensured during the arrival of the members of the Assembly in the Punjab Assembly.

Dolphin Squad, PRU, Elite Force teams continued patrolling in and around the Punjab Assembly Building. On the instructions of the IG, every person coming to Punjab Assembly was allowed to enter only after complete checking and no unauthorized person or vehicle was allowed to enter the assembly premises.
