PML-N slams FIR against Maryam Nawaz loyalists

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday criticised the government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for having registered a first information report (FIR) against the supporters of main opposition party’s Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
The PML-N said in a statement that attack on Maryam Nawaz’s supporters was the result of the connivance between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Clashes between the Lahore police and PML-N workers were reported on Monday when Maryam Nawaz, daughter of PML-N founder, patron and three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif, appeared before an accountability court in a corruption case.

The PML-N said the government should have FIRs registered against those involved in hoarding of flour and sugar instead of Maryam Nawaz’s supporters. It said that an FIR should be registered against those who took Rs13,000 billion foreign loans to fill their pockets. It said that an FIR should be registered against those who received money from abroad through 23 secret bank accounts to use in anti-Pakistan activities. It said that an FIR should be registered against those who wasted Rs126 billion in the name of a bus rapid transit project in Peshawar and those who stole gas and electricity that was meant for ordinary people of Pakistan.
