ISLAMABAD – As Pakistanis reeling from the impact of a crushing inflation, the coalition government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif once again increased the petrol prices on Saturday.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the prices of petrol has been increased by Rs10 per litre, from Rs272 per litre to Rs282 per litre.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced the hike in a late night live address. He said the prices of diesel and light diesel oil would remain unchanged at Rs293 and Rs174.68, respectively.
However, he added, the price of kerosene was being increased by Rs5.78 to Rs186.07 and petrol by Rs10 to Rs282 per litre.
