Renowned Islamic scholar and preacher Maulana Tariq Jamil is recovering from a heart attack at an unnamed hospital in Canada.
According to his son Yousaf Jamil, Maulana Tariq Jamil suffered a heart attack in Canada on Tuesday and was taken to the hospital.
Taking to the microblogging platform Twitter, the Pakistani religious scholar’s son said, “He is feeling better now, Alhamdulillah!”
Asking the Maulana’s followers to pray for his health, Yousaf Jamil said, “May Allah grant my father complete health.”

In 2019, the prominent religious scholar suffered a cardiac arrest and underwent a successful angioplasty at a private hospital in Lahore. A stent was inserted in his heart to clear the blockage of arteries.
The popular scholar had contracted the deadly coronavirus in December 2020, but he recovered fully from the infectious disease within a few weeks.
