As rain washed out even the second Asia Cup match between Pakistan and India at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Sunday, Indian cricket lovers too looked disappointed like their Pakistani neighbours.

As rain disrupted the second match between Pakistan and India, Indian journalist and sports presenter Vikrant Gupta came out with a ruthless criticism of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah.

The rain disrupted the Pakistan vs India match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup right in the middle of the first innings. As cricket lovers across the world were waiting for these much-awaited encounters between the two strongest rivals of the cricketing world, Vikrant Gupta, Manger Editor at Aaj Tak/Sports Tak and a sports presenter, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to vent his anger on Jay Shah.

He wrote, “This is Jay Shah, Nepotism Product, BCCI secretary and ACC President. He could have chosen UAE, Bangladesh for Asia Cup to replace Pakistan for India matches but this shameless man chose Sri Lanka despite the strong rain forecast. That’s why 🇮🇳 need qualified people. #IndiavsPak”
