Amid the ongoing anti-government protests in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and other parts of the country, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claimed on Saturday that the state authorities kidnapped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from KP House.

In a post on it official account on X, formerly Twitter, the PTI said: “Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, has been abducted and unlawfully detained from KP House, just like Imran Khan was abducted from Islamabad High Court and PTI MNAs from the Parliament House. The conspirators of the imposed regime are hell-bent on destroying every institution and federal unit, driving Pakistan towards complete chaos and social destruction.”

However, there was no independent confirmation of the claim made by former prime minister Imran Khan’s party.
