Lahore is set to redefine its skyline with the launch of the 50-storey One Central Business District (CBD) Tower, a landmark commercial project planned at the main entrance of Gulberg. The tower, to be constructed on Plot No. 1 of the CBD, is being described as the tallest commercial building in Lahore’s history and a masterpiece of modern architecture.
The project is being developed by the Pakistan Corporate Consortium REIT Fund, a consortium that includes Lake City Holdings along with six major business groups: Arif Habib Group, Fatima Group, Deen Group, Hilton Firm, US Apparel Group, and Surti Group.
Lake City Holdings has signed an agreement with what was described as the world’s number one architect for the design and construction of the tower. The agreement was signed by Sultan Gauhar in the presence of former caretaker federal minister Gauhar Ijaz and the Chief Secretary Punjab during a formal ceremony.
Located at one of Lahore’s most prime commercial corridors, the One CBD Tower is expected to become a focal point for corporate activity, high-end offices, and commercial enterprises. The project aligns with the broader vision of the Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab) initiative, which aims to modernize Lahore’s commercial infrastructure, attract investment, and create a vertical business hub comparable to international standards.
Urban planners view the project as part of Lahore’s shift toward vertical development due to limited horizontal expansion in prime city areas. The CBD initiative has already drawn attention for introducing high-rise commercial zoning, smart infrastructure, and investment-friendly policies in Gulberg’s business district.
Once completed, the One CBD Tower is expected to serve as a symbol of Lahore’s evolving urban identity and economic ambitions.
